The Coal Handling Plant Project encompasses comprehensive execution of the Belt Conveyor System works, covering structural fabrication, surface protection, erection, and commissioning activities. The scope is executed in accordance with approved engineering designs and drawings provided by Bhima Projects Private Ltd., ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Structural Fabrication and Painting

The scope includes fabrication of all structural components associated with the belt conveyor system, including technological structures such as conveyor galleries, trestles, transfer towers, and supporting frameworks. Fabrication works shall be carried out as per approved drawings, followed by surface preparation and painting in accordance with specified corrosion protection and coating standards.

Erection and Installation Works

Erection activities include installation of fabricated structural components, conveyor equipment, and associated accessories. This covers erection of technological structures, conveyor frames, idlers, pulleys, drive units, and other mechanical components. Installation of handrails, walkways, ladders, platforms, and sheeting shall also be carried out to ensure safe operation and maintenance access. All erection works shall be executed using approved erection methodologies, tools, tackles, and lifting equipment.

Manpower Deployment and Resources

Qualified and experienced manpower shall be deployed for fabrication, erection, testing, and commissioning activities. This includes supervisors, engineers, skilled technicians, and safety personnel. Adequate tools, tackles, and construction machinery required for successful execution of the project shall be mobilized as per the approved plan.

Testing, Trial Run, and Commissioning

The scope includes providing manpower and technical support for testing, trial runs, and commissioning of the belt conveyor system. This includes mechanical completion checks, alignment verification, no-load and load trials, and operational testing to ensure system performance meets design and contractual requirements.

Performance Guarantee Testing

Performance Guarantee (PG) tests shall be conducted as per the agreed testing procedures to demonstrate the conveyor system’s capacity, reliability, and operational efficiency. Necessary manpower and coordination support shall be provided during PG testing and acceptance.

Planning and Scheduling

Preparation and submission of detailed schedules for fabrication and erection of the belt conveyor system are included in the scope. The schedules shall outline activity sequences, timelines, manpower deployment, tools and tackles, and machinery requirements. A qualified manpower list and resource plan shall be submitted for approval prior to execution.

Design and Drawing Compliance

All works under this scope shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the approved design and engineering drawings. Bhima Projects Private Ltd. shall provide the approved drawings, and execution shall adhere to these documents without deviation unless formally approved.
